Turtle Rescue and Saving Wildlife from Urbanisation

22 February, 2022 , 7:15 pm 9:30 pm AEDT

One for the diary – 22 February – the National Parks Association Southern Sydney Branch will be hosting a free zoom meeting on conservation issues with Kane Durrant – respected reptile expert, snake catcher, and wildlife conservationist. Kane and his family run Wild Conservation, a professional fauna management company dedicated to the care of Australian wildlife, both captive and wild.

Kane will talk about his work as an operating partner with Turtle Rescues NSW. When dams are dewatered at development sites, with the animals in them left homeless, Kane and the Turtles Rescue team captures and releases them into suitable habitats in the wild, taking in injured or displaced turtles that require care.
