Sutherland Shire Environment Centre is an Incorporated Association which was established in 1991 with the support of our patron Bob Walshe OAM. Our objectives, activities, and operations are guided by a Constitution and governed by a Board elected by members at the Annual General Meeting.
We support sustainable living and businesses, environmental education, reducing plastics pollution, and work to protect the Shire from environmental threats. The aim is help protect, improve and maintain the natural beauty and character of our Shire, its bioregions, surrounding waterways and parks. If you haven’t joined before and are interested in becoming a member please see our campaigns and submissions pages for more detail about our position on various issues.
We value all the support we receive, and our Centre depends on volunteers who can build our advocacy on behalf of the environment. If you’re not currently a member, and are keen us to help us work toward building a more sustainable future we encourage you to join.
